Analog UHF Microphone Systems
UHF (analog or digital) is by far the best and most reliable band to transmit audio over - avoid 2.4 and 5.8GHz systems.

Vertical Line Arrays consist of a Sub-woofer and long column featuring 4-16 small full range drivers and sometimes a super tweeter. These systems offer narrow vertical dispersion to contain the sound to the audience area.

These are normally 2 way systems with a woofer and a horn. We stick for the most part with 8" or 10" woofers for better vocal clarity and add sub-woofers if their is the need for more or sustained bottom end.
